Alcohol Liaison Nurse – Durham

Location: Durham

Rate: £28–£30 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time (37.5 hours)

Contract: 3 Months Minimum (likely to extend)

Are you an experienced Nurse with a strong background in alcohol and substance misuse? Belmont Recruitment are currently working with a specialist service in Durham to recruit a dedicated Alcohol Liaison Nurse to join their team on a full-time contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment providing specialist alcohol support and brief interventions to service users in acute and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver brief interventions and alcohol-related health assessments to service users
  • Provide advice, support, and referrals for clients presenting with alcohol dependency
  • Work closely with hospital staff, community teams, and third-sector providers to ensure smooth care pathways
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support discharge planning and provide harm reduction advice and relapse prevention strategies
Desired Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RMN, RGN, or RNLD)
