Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assessment and care of respiratory patients, prioritisation of treatment, delivery of care and evaluation.
  • Carrying out all relevant forms of care with or without direct supervision, demonstrating procedures and supervising qualified and/or unqualified staff within the department.
  • Overseeing the day‑to‑day function of the ward.
  • Supporting the Ward Manager with the day‑to‑day management of the ward, ensuring staffing levels are safe, raising concerns and arranging cover when necessary.
  • Managing post holders within the ward establishment.
  • Leading a team and ensuring an appropriately skilled and effective workforce.
Working Conditions
  • Flexible approach to working patterns – rotation to night duty, weekends and bank holidays to support unit operations.
  • Relocation policy for eligible candidates; parking available at Trust sites with encouragement of car‑sharing or public transport.
