Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a single project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are safely accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters and to ensure the customer receives a quality product or service which meets or exceeds all of the customer's requirements.

Functions

1. Set up and monitor project budgets. Provide revenue and cost advice, including relevant cost accruals as applicable.
2. Participate or directly engage in forecasting of project revenue and cost.
3. Take a lead role in driving the continuous improvement of quality and safety.
4. Develop and maintain resource plans for onshore and offshore resources.
5. Day to day management of assigned project(s) and project team(s), including the planning of project operations and the supervision of operational personnel on site including the review of procedures, staffing requirements and allocation of available resources to various phases of the project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
6. Daily liaison on projects and systems to identify any issues and ensure project is running as planned.
7. Finding solutions where required to mitigate downtime or project delays that impact the client business or profitability rates of the project.
8. Assist customers in preparation of design ideas and specifications.
9. Conduct presentations and assists with sales and marketing activities.
10. As appropriate, coordinate with Projects and Sales/Commercials personnel in the development of Bids and Proposals.
11. Review and approve quality plans and technical procedures. If required, create procedures for subsea projects.
12. Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
13. Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and provide personnel requirements to Operations.
14. Confer with project staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
15. Direct and coordinate activities of projects to ensure progression is on schedule and within prescribed budget.
16. Review status reports and adjust schedules or plans as required.
17. Review and approve documents related to meeting customer specifications.
18. Oversee the generation of requisitions not related to general Repair and Maintenance and review/approve requisite supplier invoices.
19. Prepare project reports, forecast, variance explanations and other technical and financial reports for management, client, or others.
20. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems, identify improvements and preventative measures.
21. Review and approve project invoices and assist in accounts receivable issues with Customers.
22. Travel domestically and overseas as needed.
23. Maintain training requirements as directed by management.
24. Work closely with the Commercial Department on the review of ITTs and Bid submission to ensure properly defined scope of work, technical competencies and equipment required. Must have a detailed knowledge of work scope, terms and conditions and pricing.
25. In coordination with Sales, provide client presentations on new technologies or solutions that improve their performance.
26. Ensure compliance with HSE Management Systems and adherence with local regulations and requirements.
27. Verify System compliance with all Technical, Operational, and HSE Bulletins.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

1. Minimum five (5) years Project Management experience in a relevant discipline.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
3. Ability to learn and navigate in PeopleSoft or similar enterprise management software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
4. Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel where required.
5. Extensive working experience with ROV tooling, ROV intervention and/or subsea hardware.

DESIRED

1. Offshore / oilfield operational experience, ideally vessel-based.
2. Familiar with remotely operated systems and other services offered by Oceaneering.
3. PMP Certification or equivalent.
4. BSc/MSc in Engineering / Business Management or equivalent.
