Job summary
A care home facility in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated individual to manage kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food quality, and maintain hygiene. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals, managing transactions, and adhering to health and safety regulations. This role offers a starting salary of £14.00 per hour and various employee benefits.

- Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home.
- Maintain confidentiality concerning all matters related to the home, clients, staff, and work.
- Purchase fresh foods daily from local suppliers.
- Order frozen foods weekly from nominated suppliers and ensure competitive pricing.
- Manage financial transactions accurately, including issuing monies and receipts.
- Prepare menus in consultation with the Manager.
- Cook nutritious meals to high standards, accommodating any dietary requirements.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Follow all food hygiene, health, safety, emergency, and fire procedures.
- Report any faulty appliances, damaged equipment, or hazards to the Manager.
- Adhere to all Group policies and procedures within specified timescales.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
- Attend training sessions and pursue personal development opportunities.
