Rail Procurement Specialist — Project Buyer
Job summary
A family-owned construction company is searching for an Assistant Buyer to work on the TRUe project in Shipley, England. In this role, you will provide procurement services for rail materials, deliver best procurement solutions, and manage project schedules. Candidates should have knowledge of rail construction procurement practices and a desire to grow in the procurement field. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant transportation projects across the UK.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of work practices, processes and procedures within the rail construction procurement process.
- Working knowledge of contracts (NEC) is desirable.
- Aspiration for a career in procurement in a leading family-owned construction company.
Responsibilities
- Provide an effective service in the procurement of rail services and materials.
- Work as part of a dedicated procurement team for the project.
- Advise on supply chain management activities.
