Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is looking for a senior solution architect to bridge the gap between IT and business functions. This full remote position will involve leading change activities, designing complex systems, and managing technical documentation. Applicants should have strong analytical skills, experience in architectural frameworks, and knowledge of supply chain applications. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Northampton.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in architectural frameworks like TOGAF.
- Experience in IT architecture, system administration, or as a technical consultant.
- Ability to produce solutions topology documentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as a conduit between IT and business functions.
- Pioneer change activity within the organization.
- Lead technical teams and design complex systems or applications.

For one of our major logistics clients, we are searching for a senior solution architect that will play a pivotal role as a conduit to the business, pioneering change activity and acting as the interface between IT and business Functions.
- A good knowledge and understanding of architectural frameworks (ie TOGAF)
- Previous experience in similar roles such as IT architect, system administrator, or technical consultant is advantageous. Experience in designing and implementing complex systems or applications, as well as leading technical teams.
- Skilled in the production solutions topology documentation and in keeping asset registers updated with new solutions or amendments to existing ones.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Highly developed computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Visio, Power Point…) and supply chain applications (e.g. WMS, TMS) Stakeholder Management (internal and external)
