Job summary

Peters Dean Care Ltd is seeking a Service Manager to lead a supported accommodation service for 16-18-year-olds. You will oversee a dedicated team, ensuring safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive.

Using a trauma-informed approach, you'll support staff, build relationships with families and professionals, manage safeguarding, and drive continuous improvement to help young people achieve independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable people, ideally in supported accommodation or similar.
• Experience of managing or leading a team.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
• Passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
• Good organisational skills and ability to juggle priorities.
• Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and compliance.
• Ability to motivate people and drive positive change with feedback.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and developing a fantastic support team.
• Creating a positive culture where people feel valued, confident to share ideas.
• Ensuring young people receive outstanding, individualised support.
• Championing the voices, wishes and aspirations of the young people you support.
• Promoting safeguarding and ensuring young people are safe and protected.
• Ensuring support plans, risk assessments and records are accurate, effective and person-centred.
• Working closely with families, social workers and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
• Managing rotas, resources and the day-to-day running of the service.
• Supporting recruitment and building a strong, committed team.
• Coaching and mentoring staff to help them grow and develop.
• Monitoring quality, performance and outcomes and always looking for ways to improve.
• Ensuring the service meets regulatory, contractual and safeguarding requirements.
