Bradford Council's Youth Service is recruiting a Youth Support Worker Leader In Charge to deliver the Youth Offer across the Bradford district. The role focuses on building trusted relationships with young people aged 11 to 19, and up to 25 with disabilities, and shaping responses around their views.

The post is 30 hours per week, mostly evenings from 5pm to 9pm, with some weekends. An enhanced DBS check and JNC 3 qualification are essential to apply.

Qualifications

• JNC 3 qualification is essential.
• Experience working with young people in diverse settings.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental policies.

Responsabilités

• Initiate and develop relationships with young people aged 11 to 19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities.
• Engage young people in positive activities and broaden their horizons.
• Contribute to design and development of youth work responses based on core principles.
• Support development and delivery of the Youth Offer informed by young people's voice.
• Deliver skills to help young people work effectively in groups.
• Work as part of a team to deliver youth work.
• Work multiple evenings each week (5pm to 9pm) and some weekends.
• Undertake work across the Bradford district as well as from the base office.
