Job summary

Bradford Council's Youth Service is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker to engage with young people aged 11–19 and up to 25 for those with disabilities, delivering the Bradford Youth Offer in evenings and some weekends. Based at the Bradford East Office, you will build trusted relationships and promote safe, inclusive participation.

The role requires DBS enhanced disclosure, flexible 5pm–9pm shifts, and a commitment to equality and empowerment within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in a variety of settings.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies and regulations.
• Ability to use basic IT packages.
• Commitment to equality, participation and empowerment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop relationships with 11–19 year olds and up to 25 for disabled young people.
• Work directly with young people to broaden horizons and engage in activities.
• Support design and delivery of Youth Offer under Youth Service principles.
• Deliver youth work and help form group activities within the team.
