Evening Youth Support Worker – Empowering Futures

Zusammenfassung

Bradford Council is seeking Youth Support Workers to help deliver the Youth Offer across the Bradford District. The role focuses on open access youth provision, guidance, safety in spaces and positive activities for 11–19-year-olds (and up to 25 for those with disabilities).

You will work multiple evenings per week, including hours between 5pm and 9pm, and some weekends. A Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check will be undertaken.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of working with young people in a variety of settings.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and regulations in Youth Work.
• Proficiency with basic IT packages.
• Commitment to continual improvement and efficient service delivery.
• Understanding of data privacy and confidentiality.
• Awareness of issues affecting young people’s lives.
• Understanding of equality of opportunity and voluntary participation.

Aufgaben

• Initiate and develop relationships with 11–19s and up to 25s for young people with disabilities.
• Work directly with young people to broaden horizons and engage in positive activities.
• Support design and delivery of youth work responses aligned with Youth Service cornerstones.
• Contribute to development and delivery of the Youth Offer informed by young people’s voices.
