Job summary

Bradford Council is seeking Youth Support Workers to help deliver the Youth Offer and support open access youth provision, with sessions in the Bradford District.

You will work evenings (5pm–9pm) and some weekends, build relationships with young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 with disabilities), promote equality, participation and empowerment, and support safeguarding and information security.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in various settings.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Uses a range of basic IT packages.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Maintains confidentiality and data protection.
• Committed to equality of opportunity.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Youth Offer across Bradford districts.
• Initiate and develop relationships with 11–19 year olds, up to 25 with disabilities.
• Work between 5pm–9pm several evenings and some weekends.
• Promote health and wellbeing through open access activities.
• Uphold the Youth Service cornerstones of equality and empowerment.
