Job summary
Care in Mind operates residential homes for young people aged 16-30, providing therapeutic support for mental health needs. This role requires a full UK manual driving licence, willingness to drive the service car unsupervised, and flexibility to cover weekend and bank holiday shifts.
You will deliver care, update records, and help residents build life skills in a supportive, structured environment in Bury.
Qualifications
- Weekend and bank holiday shifts are required.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence - not automatic.
- Must attend training on weekdays.
- Good written skills and ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
- Basic IT skills: completing forms, using an online care system and writing emails.
- Good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Maintain professional working boundaries.
- Remain calm in emergencies and support others.
Responsibilities
- Support young people to promote independence through education, household tasks and life skills.
- Update online care records and administer medications.
- Ensure the home is tidy and provides a homely environment.
- Assist in moving on to community living and independent routines.
