Job summary

Care in Mind is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker in Bromborough. The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with shift patterns including early, late and waking night options.

You will support young people with mental health needs, assist with daily living and education, and record information using online care systems. The position requires flexibility for weekends/bank holidays, good written and verbal communication, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends/bank holidays.
• Good written skills; ability to write basic reports and records.
• Basic IT skills: completing forms, using online care system, writing emails.
• Good verbal communication and active listening.
• Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
• Able to stay calm in emergencies while supporting others.
• A full UK driving licence is required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence by supporting education, household tasks and daily living skills.
• Assist with meal preparation, shopping and self-care activities.
• Administer medications and update online care records.
• Ensure a clean, homely environment and upkeep of the home.
• Manage incidents and de-escalate challenging behaviours when needed.
