Job summary

Care In Mind is seeking a Mental Health Senior Support Worker, Driver for our home in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. The role involves supporting young people with mental health needs, promoting independence and monitoring wellbeing.

You will update care records, assist with education and daily living tasks, and may cover waking night shifts. Training is provided; a full UK driving licence is essential for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.
• Essential: Flexibility to work weekends/bank holidays.
• Essential: Good written skills and ability to write basic reports.
• Essential: Basic IT skills and use of online care system.
• Essential: Good verbal communication and listening.
• Essential: Maintain professional boundaries and calmness in emergencies.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and complete medication administration.
• Assist with education, household tasks and life skills to promote independence.
• Maintain tidy home and support with daily living for residents.
• Manage incident de-escalation and report writing.
• Provide training/mentoring support and assist in handover to future supervision.
