Job summary

YMCA Robin Hood Group in the United Kingdom is hiring a Housing Duty Worker to help run a supported housing building for 16–24-year-olds. You will be the first point of contact, provide practical support, manage day-to-day operations and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

The role is 37.5 hours per week on a rolling three-week rota. You will handle tenancy duties, respond to emergencies, assist residents with form filling and signpost to other agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in gaining experience in supported housing with vulnerable adults and young people (16–24).
• Ability to work across shifts, incidents, administration, security, and fire safety.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance to residents and manage key replacements.
• Collect rent payments and explain tenant obligations.
• Respond to fire alarms and incidents, liaise with police and agencies.
• Support with form filling and signposting to other services.
• Undertake facilities duties to maintain building upkeep.
