Job summary

YMCA Robin Hood Group in Nottingham is seeking a Housing Duty Worker to oversee the smooth running of our buildings and provide support to residents. You will be the first point of contact, handling incidents, administration, security, fire safety and cleaning tasks during your shifts.

We value compassion, reliability and a genuine interest in helping young people aged 16–24. Training and DBS checks are provided, with shifts arranged to be accessible by public transport.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, youth work or related social care settings preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with residents with compassion and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance to residents.
• Handle rent payments and queries or charges relating to rent.
• Explain tenant obligations and rights as per License Agreement.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergencies.
• Liaise with police and other agencies to prevent harm.
• Incidents, crisis management and incident reporting.
• Undertake facilities or domestic duties as needed to maintain the building.
