Job summary

Trigon Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Youth Employment Mentor to support young people aged 18-24 on a funded programme. You will manage your own caseload, provide personalised guidance from initial engagement through to job start, and collaborate with employers and local partners to secure opportunities.

The role emphasises one-to-one mentoring, employability skills development, and sustained in-work support, with regular travel within the local area and a permanent, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering one-to-one mentoring or coaching.
• Experience working with young people or individuals facing barriers to employment.
• Background in employability, recruitment, education, or welfare-to-work environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage, motivate and challenge individuals constructively.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with young people aged 18–24.
• Manage a caseload from referral through to employment sustainment.
• Conduct initial assessments and identify barriers to employment.
• Create personalised action plans focused on progression and employment outcomes.
• Deliver tailored one-to-one mentoring and ongoing motivation.
• Maintain regular contact and provide encouragement and support.
