Job summary

Guernsey Youth & Housing project is seeking a Practitioner to support young people aged 16–25 who are NEET. You will work mainly one-to-one, with occasional small group sessions, focusing on preparing for work, building resilience and independence.

You will draw on safeguarding practices, deliver targeted interventions, complete assessments, and develop support plans. Applicants must be resident in Guernsey and have the right to live and work within the Bailiwick.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience working directly with children and young people.
• Hands-on safeguarding experience applying policies and procedures.
• Experience delivering targeted interventions and creating support plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to young people aged 16–25 who are NEET.
• Deliver occasional small group work as required.
• Prepare young people for the world of work, building resilience and independence.
• Uphold safeguarding principles to ensure safety and wellbeing.
