Job summary

Action for Children in Guernsey seeks a dedicated Young Persons Practitioner to support young people aged 13 to 25 within the Bailiwick. You will build relationships, deliver personalised, evidence-based interventions and help service users move toward employment, education, volunteering or training.

The role is a fixed-term, full-time contract until 30 September 2027, with a salary of £27,300 per year plus £700 on-call allowance, and a commitment to flexible working including evenings or

Qualifications

Some experience of working directly with children and young people.
Strong understanding of safeguarding practice and policies.
Experience delivering targeted interventions and reviews.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality service to young people and build trusting relationships.
Deliver evidence-based, personalised interventions on 1:1 and small group settings.
Deliver training and awareness sessions to professionals and partners.
Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
Organise and manage daily work objectives and tasks efficiently.
