Job summary

CXK in East Sussex is recruiting to deliver engaging 12‑week programmes for young people aged 16‑24 across community venues. The role focuses on information, advice, guidance and mentoring to boost employability and progression into education, training, or work.

The post involves face‑to‑face delivery, outreach work, and collaboration with employers and training providers to create opportunities and support progression with a hybrid working pattern.

Responsibilities

• Deliver information, advice, guidance, and mentoring to unemployed young people and adults to build personal, social and employability skills.
• Deliver a 12‑week face-to-face programme to young people, ensuring emotional readiness to progress into education, training or employment by building confidence and resilience.
• Work with the Team Leader to recruit and support young people onto the programme, keeping them engaged until induction.
• Work creatively and in a person-centred way, in a group or 1:1 setting.
• Support work-based tasters, visits and community opportunities; be confident in detached and outreach settings.
• Broker progression opportunities through employer networks, apprenticeship providers, FE colleges and employability programmes.
• Support young people with applying for opportunities and conduct regular check-ins during tracking.
• Advocate for young people, maintain confidentiality, address barriers to progression and make referrals as necessary.
