Job summary

CXK Limited is seeking a Skills and Employability Adviser (YJS Specialist) based in East Sussex, Hastings. This part-time role (0.8) supports 16–18-year-olds to progress into education, employment or training, including Youth Justice Service involvement.

Salaries range £26,262–£31,391 pro rata depending on experience. You will manage caseloads, perform assessments and plan actions with regular reviews, ensuring safeguarding and accurate record-keeping throughout.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting vulnerable young people.
• Knowledge of post-16 pathways.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience of managing risk and safeguarding concerns.
• A flexible approach and commitment to learning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload providing personalised information, advice and guidance.
• Through assessments, action planning and reviews, help young people access opportunities.
• Spend time within the YJS office coordinating with colleagues and partners.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding principles.
