Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Bristol is recruiting Driving Behaviour Mentors to support students in mainstream secondary schools. This full-time role starts ASAP and requires a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring, help students regulate emotions and behaviour, and work with staff to promote attendance and positive outcomes. DBS is required or willing to obtain one; CPD is provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Access to a vehicle (essential).
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience supporting children or young people is highly valued.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring support.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Support disengaged learners to re-engage with education.
• Help students regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively.
• Use de-escalation and restorative approaches where appropriate.
• Support students within lessons, intervention spaces and inclusion settings.
• Promote attendance, engagement and positive decision-making.
• Work closely with SENCOs, pastoral teams and teaching staff.
