Senploy is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to work with children and young people at risk of exclusion and with SEMH needs. The role focuses on relationship-based mentoring, outcome-driven plans and building skills to change behaviour.

You will manage a personal caseload, set targets and monitor progress, while delivering structured programmes on emotional regulation, anger management and healthy relationships. A robust safeguarding approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven mentoring experience with young people showing challenging behaviours.
• Experience conducting assessments and setting/reviewing SMART targets.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge including exploitation, county lines and peer-on-peer abuse.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent under pressure; strong written reporting skills.
• Willingness to work independently and manage caseload/time effectively.
• UK driving licence required/preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload with regular 1:1 mentoring sessions.
• Build trusting relationships with at-risk youths.
• Carry out initial assessments to identify needs and barriers.
• Set SMART targets and review progress.
• Deliver programmes on emotional regulation and resilience.
• Lead group sessions and reintegration support after exclusions.
• Liaise with parents, carers and multi-agency professionals.
• Identify early warning signs and contribute to risk assessments.
