Job summary

Lexia Education Services Ltd in Somerset is seeking a Youth Behaviour Mentor to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) in school and community settings.

You will mentor 1:1 or in small groups, encourage expression through creativity, help with emotional regulation, and promote positive behaviour. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to tailor support for each student.

Qualifications

• Mentor 1:1 or in small groups to support SEMH and SEN students.
• Use creativity (art, music, sport) to engage learners.
• Help students build coping skills and resilience.
• Use trauma-informed and positive behavior approaches to set boundaries kindly.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and families to tailor support.

Responsibilities

• Mentor 1:1 or in small groups with SEMH and SEN students.
