Job summary

Get Set UK is seeking an Activity Coordinator for a mobile Youth Mentor Programme in Reading. You will design and deliver activities for 18-24-year-olds, helping them gain confidence, resilience and practical workplace skills while traveling across Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

This hands-on role owns the activity programme, coordinates partners, and tracks attendance and progress. A driving licence and vehicle are essential; working days are Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, organising and delivering engaging group activities.
• Experience engaging young people or people facing barriers to participation, adapting approach.
• Ability to organise activities, resources and competing priorities.
• Evidence of building productive relationships with colleagues, community organisations or partners.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Reliable and committed with high standards of work.
• Experience delivering outcomes across projects or tasks.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Create a varied programme of activities that young people want to attend with clear purpose behind each session.
• Deliver sessions, coordinate community partners and track attendance and progress.
• Build relationships with community partners and employers.
• Adapt sessions for participants with different needs and respond to disengagement.
• Record attendance, feedback and outcomes accurately and manage venues and resources.
• Balance delivery with safeguarding and administrative administration.
