Job summary

Get Set UK in Banbury, United Kingdom, is seeking an Employment Advisor to help 18-24-year-olds move into employment through one-to-one support in community locations.

You will build action plans, provide CV and interview help, and work with Employer Partnerships to convert opportunities into starts. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel between sites are essential.

This role is target-driven with a short preparation period and ongoing in-work coaching to sustain outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting, coaching or advising people towards a defined outcome.
• Experience engaging people who may lack confidence or barriers to employment.
• Experience identifying practical barriers and helping individuals progress towards employment, education or another positive outcome.
• Evidence of delivering measurable targets, deadlines or agreed outcomes.
• A valid driving licence, access to a suitable vehicle and appropriate business-use insurance for regular travel between community delivery locations.
• Evidence of commitment, reliability and consistently delivering high standards of work.
• Ability to present your recent employment history clearly, including explaining gaps or short-term roles during the previous five years.
• Confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to case-management and other digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with young people, understand their strengths, ambitions and barriers, and agree clear employment-focused action plans.
• Provide CV, application and interview support, develop workplace confidence and help resolve practical issues such as travel, identification or digital access.
• Identify suitable vacancies with Employer Partnerships colleagues and prepare young people for employer introductions and opportunities.
• Deliver structured in-work coaching and support to sustain employment outcomes.
• Manage caseloads, ensure records are accurate and outcomes are evidenced.
