Job summary

Accord Appointments Ltd is seeking an active and passionate Activity Coordinator to design and deliver an engaging programme for young people aged 18–24. You will help participants discover strengths, build confidence and take steps toward employment, education or training.

You'll plan sport, creative, digital, gaming and community activities, adapting for diverse needs and ensuring safeguarding and safety standards are met. This is a face-to-face role requiring daily local travel.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering sport, creative, digital, gaming, VR, outdoor, volunteering or project-based activities would be a real advantage.
• Relevant qualifications in areas such as youth work, teaching, coaching, training, careers, employability or facilitation are desirable, along with first aid and risk-assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun, purposeful group and one-to-one activities.
• Help young people develop confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and workplace skills.
• Turn interests and everyday activities into opportunities to discover and demonstrate transferable skills.
• Organise employer talks, workplace visits, mock interviews, volunteering and project-based experiences.
• Adapt activities so everyone can participate, whatever their confidence, ability or individual needs.
• Work closely with Mentors to connect activities to each participant’s goals and next steps.
• Build relationships with community groups, employers, training providers and specialist partners.
• Promote activities, encourage attendance and re-engage young people who may lose confidence or disengage.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment where young people feel heard, respected and encouraged to succeed.
• Track participation and progress while ensuring activities meet safeguarding, quality and health & safety requirements.
