Job summary

Accord Appointments Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Coordinator in Leicestershire to deliver engaging programmes for young people aged 18-24. You will plan group and one-to-one activities, help build confidence, and connect participants with employers and education opportunities.

You'll work closely with mentors and partners to create inclusive experiences, track progress, and ensure safeguarding. This on-site role requires energetic, organised individuals with a passion for youth

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring, employment, recruitment, resourcing or youth work.
• Qualifications in youth work, teaching, coaching, training or facilitation are desirable, plus first aid and risk assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun, purposeful group and one-to-one activities.
• Help young people develop confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and workplace skills.
• Turn interests and everyday activities into opportunities to discover and demonstrate transferable skills.
• Organise employer talks, workplace visits, mock interviews, volunteering and project-based experiences.
• Adapt activities so everyone can participate, whatever their confidence, ability or individual needs.
• Work closely with Mentors to connect activities to each participant's goals and next steps.
• Build relationships with community groups, employers, training providers and specialist partners.
• Promote activities, encourage attendance and re-engage young people who may lose confidence or disengage.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment where young people feel heard, respected and encouraged to succeed.
• Track participation and progress while ensuring activities meet safeguarding, quality and health & safety requirements.
