Job summary

Accord Appointments Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to design and deliver an engaging programme for young people aged 18–24, helping them discover their strengths and take positive steps toward employment, education or training.

You will plan a range of activities—from sport and creative projects to technology and community experiences—ensuring sessions are inclusive, engaging and help participants build confidence, communication and workplace skills.

Qualifications

• Creative, enthusiastic and confident leading activities.
• Engaging young people and building positive relationships.
• Comfortable working with different personalities, abilities and backgrounds.
• Create structure and purpose while keeping activities enjoyable.
• Confident managing groups and handling challenging situations appropriately.
• Organised enough to coordinate venues, partners, resources and multiple activities.
• Passionate about inclusion and helping people overcome barriers.
• Comfortable using digital tools and keeping accurate records.
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding and creating safe environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun, purposeful group and one-to-one activities.
• Help young people develop confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and workplace skills.
• Turn interests and everyday activities into opportunities to discover and demonstrate transferable skills.
• Organise employer talks, workplace visits, mock interviews, volunteering and project-based experiences.
• Adapt activities so everyone can participate, whatever their confidence, ability or individual needs.
• Work closely with Mentors to connect activities to each participant’s goals and next steps.
• Build relationships with community groups, employers, training providers and specialist partners.
• Promote activities, encourage attendance and re‑engage young people who may lose confidence or disengage.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment where young people feel heard, respected and encouraged to succeed.
• Track participation and progress while ensuring activities meet safeguarding, quality and health & safety requirements.
