Job summary

The Ram Agency, Young’s internal agency, is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join the Exeter team. You’ll be paid from £14.25 per hour, with the chance to build your own rota and access to tips, apprenticeship schemes and a full benefits package.

You’ll be employed by Young’s and work across our pub estate with daily shifts. Ideal candidates are hands-on, passionate about fresh food, capable of leading a section, and eager to contribute to menu development while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• Experience championing excellent service through quality food.
• Passion to deliver fantastic food consistently.
• Hands-on Chef De Partie or kitchen supervisor role.
• Willingness to learn and work well with others.
• Ability to contribute creatively to menus and specials.
• Strong planning and organisational skills for GP and labour control.
• Proactive in driving sales and kitchen/front-of-house collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to high standards.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist Head Chef with menu planning and daily specials.
• Supervise junior staff, ensuring smooth service.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to enhance guest experience.

About us:

You’ll be looked after by our wonderful General Manager, Monse, and simply hop online to view shifts and build your rota to suit your lifestyle. We have shifts available daily, across our estate of over 270 pubs. What we look for in a Chef De Partie:

We are looking for an existing Chef De Partie or an excellent Commis Chef looking for their next step, who considers themselves to have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As a successful Chef De Partie, you will:

• Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
• Demonstrate a passion to deliver fantastic food every time
• Be an active hands-on Chef De Partie / Kitchen Supervisor
• Show willingness to learn new skills, and be an active team player with excellent communication skills
• Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls regarding both GP and labour
• Have a proactive approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front-of-house teams
