Job summary

Gardiner & Theobald LLP is seeking a Year Out Surveyor in Glasgow to join the Accelerate Programme. You will gain experience across multiple projects, assisting with cost management, budgeting and tender processes under supervision and mentorship. The role focuses on developing technical, commercial and leadership skills for Chartered membership of RICS.

Responsibilities

• Measure drawings produced by Design Team, manually or with CostX.
• Prepare cost plans to establish project budgets for clients.
• Assist with contract documentation and tender pricing documents.
• Support review and comparison of tender returns for contractor appointments.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for projects.
• Attend site visits and valuations of completed works with analysis.
• Support value engineering to identify cost savings and efficient use of budgets.
• Attend project and site meetings across stages, communicating with stakeholders to obtain quotations and discuss costs.
