Job summary

Gardiner & Theobald LLP in London invites applications for the Graduate Assistant Surveyor (Cost Management) within the Infrastructure & Major Projects Team. You will work on infrastructure projects, preparing cost plans, forecasts and cash flow while gaining practical experience toward RICS accreditation.

You will join the Accelerate Programme, receiving mentoring and structured training to develop technical, commercial and leadership skills during a 2–2.5 year pathway toward chartered

Qualifications

• 2:1 degree or above required.
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with IT systems.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable and professional in approach.

Responsibilities

• Measure drawings provided by design team, manually or with CostX.
• Prepare cost plans to establish project budgets for clients.
• Compile contract documentation for tendering purposes.
• Receive tender submissions and prepare tender analysis reports.
• Review tender returns to support contractor appointments.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for clients.
• Attend site visits and valuations of completed works.
• Support value engineering to identify cost savings opportunities.
• Attend project and design team meetings as required.
• Communicate with stakeholders on cost-related matters.
