Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Construction Management with a placement year.
• Full UK driving licence or working towards by February 2027.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, logical approach.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
• Previous placement or site experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management of site operations to ensure works are delivered safely and on programme.
• Develop understanding of how construction works are delivered safely, efficiently and to required standards.
• Contribute to setting out, surveying and engineering control activities on site.
• Support preparation of method statements, risk assessments, inspection/test plans and quality documentation.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Attend and contribute to planning meetings and progress reviews.
• Help monitor project progress, quality, health and safety, and environmental performance.
• Support site logistics, temporary works and sequencing of construction activities.
• Review drawings and technical information to translate them into construction activities.
• Work with design, commercial and operational teams to resolve challenges.
• Develop understanding of cost control and project commercial impact.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records and reports.
