Tilbury Douglas invites a Civil Engineer Year Out Placement in the Yorkshire region. You will join a live project team, gaining early exposure to setting out, surveying and engineering coordination with support from experienced engineers.

You’ll develop practical skills, apply university learning and build professional relationships across design, commercial and operations teams during a full-year placement.

Formación

• Currently studying towards a Civil Engineering degree and undertaking a year-out placement.
• Must have or be working towards a full UK driving licence by Feb 2027.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to take on responsibility.

Responsabilidades

• Assist planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering and construction activities.
• Carry out setting out, surveying and engineering control under supervision.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Support quality documentation, method statements and risk assessments.
• Help with site records and inspections; assist with technical issue resolution.
• Coordinate subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Attend meetings and develop understanding of temporary works and buildability.
• Develop understanding of sustainability and modern construction methods.
