RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is offering a Year in Industry placement at the Triton Knoll Offshore Windfarm in Grimsby. You will gain hands-on experience in engineering and maintenance strategy, project management, and asset integrity within a safe, supportive team.

Open to enrolled students in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Renewable energy streams. A strong emphasis on communication, schedule management, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders is required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled student in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Renewables or similar.
  • Degree course eligible for year in industry placement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to coordinate workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a diverse team with stakeholders.
  • UK residency of at least 5 years due to vetting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and delivery of the wind farm's engineering and maintenance strategy.
  • Assist in project management, ensuring adherence to programme, budget and quality.
  • Participate in HSE management and asset integrity tasks.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across teams to meet milestones.

About the role

  • Gain valuable knowledge and experience of
    • Technical project management.
    • Asset management through compliance, Asset & Regulatory Governance and electronic management systems.
    • HSE management.
    • Contract management.
  • Actively support the team e.g. with
    • Developing and delivering the wind farm’s engineering and maintenance strategy.
    • Safety improvements through offshore inspections.
    • Project management, ensuring adherence to programme, budget and quality.
    • Asset integrity.

Job requirements and experience

  • You're an enrolled student in one of the following degree courses: Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Renewables or similar.
  • Your degree course is eligible for a year in industry placement.
  • You have very good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You're able to coordinate your own workload and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Working in a diverse team environment and dealing with a range of stakeholders every day is something you feel comfortable with.
  • Motivation is crucial; your cover letter will tell us why you´re a suitable candidate for this opportunity, and how it aligns with your studies & career plans.
  • You have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
