RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. invites applications for a Year in Industry placement within our Engineering Management team, focused on offshore wind.

You will gain hands-on experience across the delivery lifecycle, coordinate interfaces, and learn safety in design and operation. The role targets students pursuing engineering or science degrees with eligibility for a year-in-industry placement, strong communication, and willingness to travel between UK sites.

Qualifications

  • Ongoing studies in an engineering or science-based discipline.
  • Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to other UK sites when required, with travel expenses covered.

Hybrid model meaning 3 days per week onsite in Swindon, London or Coventry Office, rest can be home base

About the role

  • Ongoing studies in an engineering or science-based discipline.

  • A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.

An offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain and or maintain National Security Vetting to SC may result in the removal of job offers and or existing employment.
