Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a confident Year 6 Class Teacher for a primary academy in Diss, Norfolk. This full-time, fixed-term role is available ASAP and offers a salary within the MPS/UPS scale, dependent on experience.

You will teach Year 6, plan purposeful sequences, prepare pupils for end-of-Key-Stage assessments, use data to target gaps, and promote resilience and smooth transition to secondary school. QTS is required and experience with upper KS2 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching upper Key Stage 2.
• Understands assessment requirements and effective preparation strategies.
• Maintains high expectations while supporting pupils' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Teach the Year 6 curriculum and plan purposeful sequences of learning.
• Prepare pupils for end-of-Key-Stage assessments through effective teaching and revision.
• Use assessment data to identify gaps and provide targeted support.
• Promote independence, resilience and positive learning habits.
• Support pupils' transition to secondary school through appropriate preparation and communication.
