Job summary

Aspiring HLTA or ECT opportunity with Aspire People in a welcoming Year 6 setting in Wythenshawe. The role is full-time from September, supporting a 1.5 form-entry primary school to deliver PPA cover, targeted interventions and SATs booster sessions.

As part of a collaborative team, you will help close learning gaps, deliver engaging lessons to groups and individuals, and work with teachers to monitor progress and tailor learning to pupil needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised HLTA qualification or higher, such as QTS.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, ideally Year 6.
• Confidence to lead whole-class learning and targeted intervention groups.
• Organised, enthusiastic and committed to helping pupils reach potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead PPA cover across the Year 6 cohort.
• Plan and deliver high-quality intervention groups and SATs booster sessions.
• Support pupils to close learning gaps and maximise progress.
• Deliver engaging learning to whole classes, small groups and individuals.
• Collaborate with experienced teachers to monitor progress and adapt learning to pupil needs.
