Job summary

Aspire People are currently recruiting confident and proactive HLTAs to support primary schools across the age range. This could suit an experienced HLTA ready to take the next step in their career or an established HLTA seeking a new environment.

The role includes whole-class cover, delivering planned lessons, leading small-group and 1:1 interventions, and supporting planning, preparation and assessment across EYFS to KS2.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or significant equivalent experience.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Confident classroom management and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Providing whole-class cover when required.
• Delivering planned lessons and learning activities.
• Leading small-group and 1:1 interventions.
• Supporting teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment.
• Working with pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Contributing to the wider school team.
