Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across the UK. The role covers whole-class support, delivering planned activities, and assisting with assessments to help pupils progress.

You will work with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, lead small-group and 1:1 interventions, support SEND needs, and help maintain high standards of behaviour while collaborating with the wider school team.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or significant equivalent experience.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing whole-class cover when required.
• Delivering planned lessons and learning activities.
• Leading small-group and 1:1 interventions.
• Supporting teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment.
• Working with pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 as appropriate.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Contributing to the wider school team.
