Job summary

Desian Education are seeking a dedicated Reception Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Aintree. The role is full-time, long-term from January 2027, teaching in Early Years Foundation Stage with a focus on play-based learning and EYFS planning.

You will work with teaching assistants and senior leaders to deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• QTS holder with EYFS knowledge and experience in Reception.
• Enhanced DBS is in place and up-to-date.
• Strong understanding of child development and EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess learning in line with EYFS.
• Create a safe, engaging, inclusive learning environment.
• Support children's academic, social and emotional development.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate observations and assessments.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and leaders.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children at the beginning of their educational journey, creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive., Full responsibility for a Reception class

• Planning, delivering and assessing learning in line with the EYFS Framework
• Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
• Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate observations and assessments
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Full Enhanced DBS
• Has experience teaching within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ideally Reception
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
• Confident in planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning opportunities
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Demonstrates a positive, nurturing and professional approach
• Is reliable, committed and passionate about early years education

£120 - £232 per day (M1-M6), dependent on experience.
