  • Prepare pupils for SATs and end-of-KS2 assessments.
  • Promote positive behaviour and learning continuity.

Location: Stanway, Colchester

Start Date: November 2026 or January 2027

Salary: £160 - £220 per day

Contract: Full-Time

The successful Primary Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 6 class on a full-time basis, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting pupils throughout their final year of primary education. You will play an important role in preparing pupils for end-of-KS2 assessments and SATs, raising attainment and ensuring they are confident and prepared for their transition into secondary school.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong experience teaching Year 6 and/or Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and end-of-KS2 expectations.
  • Experience preparing pupils for SATs and using assessment to raise attainment.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • High expectations for pupil achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • A positive and collaborative approach to working within a Primary School team.
