Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an experienced SEND HLTA to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Druids Heath, Birmingham, supporting a Year 5 class with pupils who have additional needs.

The role focuses on delivering targeted interventions, supporting behaviour and emotional regulation, and helping pupils develop confidence and academic skills through 1:1 and small-group sessions, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

Qualifications

• Experience as HLTA or Senior Teaching Assistant or SEND TA.
• Strong SEND experience and behaviour support.
• Able to deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Experience in mainstream primary school desirable.
• Calm, patient and consistent in approach.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 5 pupils with additional needs.
• Deliver targeted learning and SEND interventions.
• Lead 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Support behavioural and emotional regulation.
• Monitor pupil progress and give feedback.
• Collaborate with class teacher and SENDCo.
• Help create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
