Job summary

Teaching Personnel is working with a friendly primary school in Gorton, Manchester, seeking a Year 5 Teacher to start in September 2026. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, within a supportive school community that values children, learning and staff wellbeing.

You will deliver engaging lessons, differentiate for all learners, assess progress, and build strong relationships with pupils and families while contributing to wider school life and professional development.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and KS2 experience with Year 5 preferred.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and ability to differentiate for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working alongside a friendly and inclusive primary school in Gorton in search of a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, offering the opportunity to teach a vibrant Year 5 class within a supportive school community that places children, learning, and staff wellbeing at the heart of everything it does.

The Role

As the Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. You will create a positive classroom environment where pupils feel supported to take risks, overcome challenges, and succeed academically and personally.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
• Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Has a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
• Can adapt teaching strategies to support a wide range of learning needs
• Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
• Is confident using technology to enhance learning and engagement
• Is passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential
