Job summary

Milk Education is looking for a Year 5 Teacher for a Primary School in Huyton to start in September 2026 on a long-term basis. The role involves teaching 28 children with the support of a full-time TA. This position requires QTS, experience in KS2, and strong behaviour management skills.

Year 5 Teacher- September 2026

Year 5 Teacher- Huyton- September 2026

We are recruiting for a Year 5 Teacher for a Primary School in Huyton to work on a long-term basis starting September 2026!

The temporary Year 5 Teacher role is to start in September 2026. The school is considering taking someone on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is working 3 full days per week, Wednesday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 28 children in the class and one full-time TA is working on a one-to-one basis with a SEND child. The school would like someone with previous KS2 teaching experience and strong behaviour management skills.

Your role & responsibilities
  • Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
  • Guiding students through the curriculum, marking work, setting homework tasks
  • Managing behaviour
  • Upholding the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non-negotiables
  • You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
  • Hold QTS
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Be passionate and understanding
  • Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
  • Good communication skills
