Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Year 3 Teacher for a maternity-cover role in a primary school. The position is four days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will establish positive relationships with pupils and staff, maintain high standards of behaviour and pupil progress, and be confident taking full responsibility for the class during the maternity cover.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Year 3 experience is preferable.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom control.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Be organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Able to hit the ground running in a maternity cover role.

Year 3 Teacher - Maternity Cover
4 Days Per Week | Long-Term Role | Planning Required

Simply Education are currently seeking an experienced Year 3 Teacher for a long-term maternity cover position within a primary school.

The role is 4 days per week - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - and the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident primary teacher who can quickly establish themselves within a classroom, build positive relationships and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning.

The successful Year 3 Teacher will:

• Have strong experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Ideally have previous Year 3 experience
• Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Have strong behaviour management and classroom control
• Set clear expectations and maintain consistent boundaries
• Be able to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Be organised, reliable and able to work independently
• Maintain high expectations of pupil progress and behaviour
• Be confident taking full responsibility for the class during the maternity cover

This is not a role for an early-career teacher looking for a significant amount of support - the school requires a confident and experienced teacher who can hit the ground running.
