Job summary

The Education Specialists (TES) is seeking a Year 3 Primary Teacher for maternity cover starting January in a welcoming primary school. This full-time role delivers high-quality teaching to a Year 3 class within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 primary curriculum.
• Differentiated teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and leadership.
• Provide continuity and stability for pupils throughout the maternity cover period.
