Job summary

Academics Ltd in partnership with a Chelmsford infant school is seeking a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join from January 2027. This full-time role starts with an initial two-term contract and has potential to become permanent.

You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons in line with KS1, support pupils’ independence and confidence, monitor progress, and work closely with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and KS1 teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS to KS1 transition.
• Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Nurturing approach with young learners.
• Organised, enthusiastic and collaborative.
• Commitment to helping every pupil succeed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
• Support pupils in developing independence, confidence and early learning skills.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet diverse learner needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents for pupil success.
