Job summary

Academics Ltd in partnership with a Chelmsford infant school is seeking a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join from January 2027. This full-time role starts with an initial two-term contract and has potential to become permanent.

You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons in line with KS1, support pupils’ independence and confidence, monitor progress, and work closely with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes.

Chelmsford January 2027 Start Initial 2-Term Contract

Academics are delighted to be working in partnership with a lovely infant school in Chelmsford who are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly, welcoming school community with a supportive team who are committed to providing children with a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can bring learning to life, inspire young minds and help children make a confident transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1.

You will be joining a team that values creativity, collaboration and ensuring every child is given the encouragement and support they need to reach their full potential.

About the role:

• Full-time teaching position, Monday to Friday.
• Teaching a Year 1 class.
• January 2027 start.
• Initially offered for two terms, with the possibility of becoming permanent thereafter.
• Planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
• Supporting pupils as they develop their independence, confidence and early learning skills.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a nurturing approach and a genuine passion for teaching young children.
• Be organised, enthusiastic and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
