Job summary

Academics Ltd in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join two days per week from January 2027. The role is initially a two-term contract with a view to extension or permanency, and involves planning engaging lessons and tracking pupil progress.

You will work within a supportive team, delivering differentiated activities and collaborating with staff and parents to drive positive pupil outcomes during KS1.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge different abilities.
• Nurturing, reliable, and well organized.

Academics are delighted to be working in partnership with a lovely infant school in Chelmsford who are looking to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to their team from January 2027.

The school is looking for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and creativity into the classroom, helping children to build confidence, develop their independence and make excellent progress as they move through Key Stage 1.

About the role:

• Teaching a Year 2 class for two days per week.
• January 2027 start.
• Initially offered for two terms, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter.
